PVA Associate member Palmer Johnson Power Systems has announced the acquisition of Mill Log Equipment Co., Inc. and Mill Log Wilson Equipment Ltd. from PVA Associate member Twin Disc, Inc. The acquisi- tion, which closed in early March, en- compasses all Mill Log assets, territory rights and inventory. “The acquisition of Mill Log positions Palmer Johnson as a dominant off-highway player in the western United States and Canada, and a powerhouse in both the marine and oil and gas markets in North America,” said Craig Parsons, President of Palmer Johnson. The electric direct-drive motor is available in two versions – 2400 rpm and 900 rpm – and is paired with a 40 kWh BMW i3-type lithium-ion battery with 30 percent more capacity than previous models. The batteries can be charged up to 75 percent capacity in 90 minutes and is available for electric-power only or a hybrid configuration. n
