This article describes the nuances of man-aging risk on multi-use waterways via marine event permitting. Its important to note, not all waterway uses are considered marine events and require permitting. Marine events are organized water events of limited duration conducted according to a prearranged schedule, and which present extra or unusual hazard to the safety of life that cannot be protected against by the existing navigation rules.19 JUNE 2023'
