b'The festive mood continued as attendees made their way back to Rain-bow Harbor for the evenings Meet and Greet the Fleet with vessels from Harbor Breeze Vessels, City Cruises Anchored by Hornblower, FOGHORN FOCUS and Catalina Express. The U.S. Coast Guard brought a cutter and guests could climb the rope ladder to go aboard and explore the vessel. A live DJ, spreads of hors doeuvres, and bars on many of the vessels kept the party going into the night.The Presidents Dinner is a highlight of each years convention and the trip to Catalina Island was one to remember. Guests were treated to sunset views from the decks of a Catalina Express ferry as they headed out of the harbor. A short walk from the dock, the historic Catalina Casino was the backdrop for the changing of the guard. PVAs 2022 president, Bob Bijur, was award the traditional captains wheel as he handed over the reins to the incoming president, Jim Swindler. With so much filling each day, the time passed quickly and soon good-byes were being said as folks heading out to catch flights back home. Anothersuccessfulconventionwasinthebooksandalreadytalk turned to the next years event. Mark your calendars for Jan. 2730, when well be in Oregon for the 2024 convention.
