b'PHOTO: NYC FERRYNYC Ferry is conducting a decarbonization study to consider future strategies for its vessels, as well as testing renewable diesel.O ver the last several years, PVA members across the country have been actively taking steps to reduce their emissions of greenhouse gases, and each operator is at a unique point in their transition away from fossil fuel-powered operations. Seeing an opportunity for the sort of collaboration that is at the heart of the PVA, a Vessel Decarbonization Forum has been launched to share lessons learned and help members succeed in their efforts to transition to greener energy sources. This forum builds off PVAs legacy of establishing working groups to address common challenges facing a wide range of members. The Vessel Decarbonization Forum will focus on efforts to reduce or eliminate the emission of greenhouse gases to improve operational efficiency and the well-being of our environment.9 APRIL 2025'
